Description

Full-length cast bronze figure of a Chippewa brave standing barechested, his hair in two braids falling over the front of his shoulders. He wears breeches with an ankle-length shawl draped around his waist and over his proper left shoulder and arm. His proper left arm is bent at the waist with a peace pipe crooked, his proper right arm bent and the hand open and extended. The sculpture is mounted upon a square base. -- Smithsonian National Inventory
