Lake Audubon (McLean County, ND)
photograph, color, lake, landscape, nature
Eric Santwire practices photography, painting and filmmaking—all of which influence the other mediums. This image is far from sentimental; rather the landscape seems strangely ominous and filled with potential rapid action. The work captures an atmospheric moment caught between transitory weather of late July in the Midwest, and with a low horizon line and a deeply saturated color scheme, Santwire reflects the possibility of the unknown just ahead of us.
