Gunvaldson currently lives and works in Fergus Falls, and owns his own business: Sign and Design. His primary mediums are oil and acrylic, and his inspiration comes from the natural world and people. Gunvaldson is also a muralist, and has completed a number of murals including the Viking Library System Bookmobile and a mural at Minnesota State Technical and Community College (M State) in Fergus Falls.
Each photographic illustration in my body of work is composed of the many photographs I have taken all over the Midwest, layered, and pieced together with computer software. Dennis Krull.
I am most often driven to use a plasma cutter and welder to create 3-dimensional steel sculptures and mixed media sculptures. I prefer to use the inherent colors of the metal and add color by heating with a torch or by rusting it to produce a rich natural patina. I am always creating something whether it be a wall sculpture, jewelry, or yard art. Karman Rheault.
